Edited by other Published Memorial Day is Monday, May 25. While the long holiday weekend is typically one of the best times to buy an appliance, it also brings big discounts on clothing, furniture, food and more. We rounded up some of the standout sales (and freebies) we’ve seen so far. Amazon: Find assorted deals up to 40% off. We’ve already seen discounts on Shark vacuums, air fryers, Ring doorbells and more. The sale ends May 25.  Amazon: Anthropologie: For a limited time, get an extra 40% off sale styles. Plus, save up to 30% on select indoor and outdoor furniture, decor and other items in the “home” category. The sale is happening online and in stores.  Anthropologie: Benihana: Active military members, veterans, first responders and Gold Star families can get a free five-course hibachi entrée with the purchase of an appetizer from May 22 through May 25. Benihana: Best Buy: Shop tech and appliance deals through May 25. We spotted savings on Apple products, TVs, fitness equipment and more.  Best Buy: Carter’s: The kids and baby brand is offering 50% off almost everything in store and online, for a limited time. Carter’s: Hanna Andersson: Looking for more children and family clothing deals? Save up to 50% on qualifying Hanna Andersson items sitewide. The sale lasts through 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on May 25. Use the code “FUN20” to save an extra 20% on orders placed by 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on May 24. Hanna Andersson: Home Depot: Save on appliances, tools, bathroom vanities and other items during the Memorial Day Sale, underway now. Appliance deals include up to 35% off select dishwashers, refrigerators, and washers and dryers.  Home Depot: Lowe’s: The home improvement retailer’s sale includes up to 45% off select major appliances, and up to 30% off select patio furniture and outdoor equipment. Some items qualify for free same-day delivery. The deals end June 3.  Lowe’s: Madewell: Save 25% on select full-price items, including dresses and T-shirts, plus an extra 30% on qualifying sales styles online and in stores. Use the code “LONGWEEKEND” at checkout online. The sale ends May 26 at 2:59 a.m. Eastern time.  Madewell: National Parks: On Memorial Day, U.S. citizens and residents can get free admission to all National Park Service sites that normally charge an entrance fee.  National Parks: Pottery Barn: Find home furnishing and decor deals up to 60% off, and save an extra 20% on select sale and clearance items.   Pottery Barn: Shake Shack: Did you know that Memorial Day and National Burger Month overlap? Celebrate with a free burger from Shake Shack with a minimum $10 purchase through May 31. Use the code “FREEBURGER” at checkout. The offer applies to the specified promotional single burger of the day. Exclusions apply.  Shake Shack: Target: Get deals on groceries, toys, grills, kitchen items and more through May 25.  Target: Walgreens: The Memorial Day sale features discounts on essentials, including buy one, get one 50% off select skin and sun care. Shoppers can also take an extra 15% off online purchases of $35 or more (with code “MAY15”) or 20% off purchases of $50 or more (with code “MAY20”) through 11:59 p.m. Central time on May 30.  Walgreens: Wayfair: Save up to 70% during the Memorial Day Clearance sale through May 25. Shop deals on mattresses, lighting, furniture and other items.  Wayfair: The list could go on and on, but we had to stop somewhere. That doesn’t mean you have to stop deal hunting, though. Check your inbox and retailers’ social media pages for additional savings. Read offer details carefully, as there may be restrictions and redemption requirements. Look for Memorial Day deals at local businesses, too. Memorial Day also brings special offers for military service members, veterans and their families. Deals may include exclusive discounts and free admission to certain theme parks, zoos and other attractions.
