With Valentine’s Day making a buzz throughout this month, we asked professionals on Glassdoor what’s more exhausting: job interviewing or dating? While there are similarities — some say dating is like being in an interview — new poll data reveals that the struggle is split.
Key findings: Overall, 49% of professionals on Glassdoor say dating is more exhausting than job interviewing, while 51% sided with interviewing. Among genders, 56% of women professionals named dating as more exhausting, while only 43% of men said the same. Here’s how the numbers shook out by industry:
- Respondents in the legal industry were most likely to say dating is more exhausting than job interviewing (54%), followed by finance (51%) and accounting (51%).
- In reverse, respondents in the tech industry were most likely to say job interviewing is more exhausting than dating (56%), followed by consulting (53%) and marketing (53%).
